Better Than Nutella

Do you ever have a sweet tooth and work really hard to fight it off with healthier alternatives? No matter how hard you try, nothing seems to taste as good as the sugar we are programmed to crave and desire?

One of my guilty pleasures used to be (and still occasionally is) Nutella. I am aware of the many negative consequences of consuming added sugar, but every once in a while, if that craving hits, and I have not planned well in advance, have exhausted all of my mindfulness methods and healthy options or distractions, I let myself have it. If this occurs rarely enough, that is ok. We are all human and know that a craving may occur from time to time.

If, however, the craving leads to excessive consumption, or if these cravings start to occur frequently (several times per month or more), I offer this solution while you are searching for the root cause of your cravings. You can also enjoy this if cravings are not a problem, as it is delicious, healthy and perfect for the summer!

My “Better than Nutella” recipe is packed with flavonoids, potent plant-derived chemicals that are associated with healthy blood vessel function and lowering of blood pressure. It also has healthy fats, plenty of fiber and no added sugar.
