It’s apple picking season in our area, and a few weeks ago, our family went picking! After sharing our apples with friends, we still had more than we could eat, so I decided to experiment with a new recipe. I made this apple crisp with no sugar, and added walnuts for additional antioxidant support and omega 3-fatty acids. While the walnuts are an optional ingredient, keep in mind that they not only nourish us, but they also feed our beneficial gut bacteria.
