Dr. Bojana Jankovic Weatherly discusses 3 ways in which we can all reduce our exposure to environmental toxins coming from food and water:
1. Eat organic – when unable to get organic food, refer to Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen lists by EWG to help you decide whether to buy your fruit and vegetables that are not organic
2. Avoid food packaging and plastic containers: they often contain BPA and/or phthalates (endocrine disruptors that affect the reproductive system), and avoid BPA-lined food cans
3. If your tap water is safe, drink filtered tap water rather than bottled water (and drink it out of a glass or a glass or stainless steel bottle, rather than a plastic cup or a bottle)
