In our last newsletter, we discussed the prolonged history of lack of evidence-informed modalities and inadequate care for women during perimenopause and menopause.
Fortunately, times have changed.
In this week’s video, we discuss normal changes during menopause, hormone replacement therapy, how to create lifestyle changes to support thriving in menopause, wearables, heart rate variability, healthy libido, urinary symptoms and more.
In my two interviews with Dr. Mayoni Gooneratne, UK based physician and former surgeon, specializing in women’s health, we unpack changes that occur in perimenopause and menopause. We talk about how to navigate these medically, through lifestyle, nutrition and our own self-understanding. Our first video was shared last week (Hyperlink ”first video”) and it focuses on perimenopause- a period in a woman’s life leading up to menopause. This video focuses on the late stages of perimenopause and menopause – menopause, by definition, being the stage in life after a woman has not had her period for 12 months.
I hope you find these informative and helpful – whether in your own journey, if this applies to you, or can share with a loved one.
