Simply Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds Brussels sprouts
  • 3 Tablespoons EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) 
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper 

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F
  • Cut off the ends of the brussels sprouts, pull off any discolored outer leaves and cut each sprout in half 
  • Mix them in a bowl with the olive oil, salt and pepper
  • Pour them onto a sheet pan and roast for 35-40 minutes, until crisp on the outside and tender on the inside 
  • Make sure to shake the pan throughout to brown the sprouts evenly 
  • When thoroughly cooked sprinkle with a touch more kosher salt and serve immediately
